Threads : pink, multi color, dark green, water green, white, lilac, blue and black.

ROUND 1
START WITH CTM
R1 = (thread pink) 1DS ?V (5x) MP CH1 = 1 - (9x)
Cl = (thread pink) 12 passes + MP
CH2 = 2DS + 2nd picot
CH3 = make 9 picots
Cl2 = 12 passes + 2nd picot. Make 6 petals

ROUND 2
Start petals 2nd round, using the same picots of the previous round.
CH1 = 13 ?V 1ds locking
Cl = 18 passes
CH2 = 2DS + (2nd - 1st ROUND)
Make 6 petals. Finish with a bead in the center or place bead on Ring 1.

Cl 2 = 19 passes + (2nd - CH 1 1st Round)
Cl 3 = 19 passes (1 -
Cl 4 = 19 passes + (3rd - CH 1 1st Round)
Continue until the 5th petals. CUT & TIE

ROUND 3
CTM with water green
RI = 10DS + (1st - Cl 1/2) 10DS. Clr
CH1 = 3DS ?V 3DS
R2 = 10DS + (1st - Cl 1/2 ) 10DS. Clr
CH2 = 3DS ?V 3DS
Do until the 5th petal. CUT & TIE

ROUND 4
CTM with thread white
Repeat the rings and chains equal to the 3rd row until the penultimate (next to last) picot of the 3rd row.
In ultimate (last) petal, make:
SR1 = 8DS + ( ultimate ?V 3rd round ) / 8DS. Clr
SR2 = 8DS / 8DS. Clr
CH = 3DS; SCH = 3DS
Do the 5th and 6th rounds the same way.

ROUND 5
CTM with thread pink
CH = 1DS ?V (6X) + 4th ROUND. Continue around.

BIRD??S BODY
CTM with thread blue starting at the base of the bird's head.
Use the block technique.
CH1 = 22DS
CH2 = 20DS
CH3 = 18DS
CH4 = 16DS + (Picot of head)
CH5 = 14DS
Invert the work to continue the body, still using the block technique.
CH6 = 4DS
CH7 = 4DS
CH8 = 3DS

BIRD??S TAIL
CH1= 10DS (1DS Locking) 10DS + (CH8). REPEAT 2X.
TO FINISH THE BODY:
CH 9 = 3DS + (CH5) 12DS ?V 1DS ?V 1DS + (Picot of head). CUT & TIE

BIRD WINGS
CTM with thread lilac staring on the 1st picot of CH5.
CH1 = 15DS (1DS Locking). Tat 7 picots in graduated sizes with 1 ds between them.
Embroider the bird's eye and beak, joining the beak to the fan.
